Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I become a member before giving birth to my twins?
A: Expectant mothers of multiples are welcomed to join! In fact, we encourage you to join while you are expecting so that you can benefit from all the club has to offer in terms of information and advice from club members and our resource library.
Q: Can I attend club events while I'm deciding whether to become a member?
A: Club events, such as our family parties, are special benefits for members only. We do invite you, as our guest, to attend up to three general meetings while deciding if the club is right for you. After that, we ask that you become a member to receive all club benefits.
Q: Does my membership expire?
A: Your membership dues, renewable annually, cover a one-year period from September to September. To avoid a lapse in your membership benefits, dues should be paid by the September general meeting, typically held on the third Thursday of September.
Q: If I can't attend the September meeting, can I mail my membership dues and information to the club?
A: Yes. All of the details surrounding your options for joining can be found HERE.
Q: It's October and I haven't received my monthly newsletter. Should I expect to receive one soon?
A: We publish a newsletter 10 times a year. Our newsletter is posted on Big Tent for members from October through September of the following year. Your membership dues must be renewed annually, preferably in September, to continue receiving the newsletter for that year.
Q: Is the garage sale for members only?
A: Anyone is welcome to shop at our garage sales. A special benefit for members is the preview sale, reserved for members and their invited guests only (members must accompany their guests to the preview). To shop at our preview, eligible members' dues must be paid in full prior to the sale.
To sell at our fall garage sale, membership dues must be paid by the September executive board meeting.
Q: How can I get more involved in the club?
A: We encourage members to participate in the club by serving on a committee. Committee members serve for a one-year term, at the discretion of the President. Each spring, information about the various committees is made available and a questionnaire is circulated, seeking members' interest in serving on a committee. If you are interested in finding out more about the committees that shape our club, click on the link for Committees found at the top of this page.
Q: Can I bring my husband or children to the meetings?
A: Our monthly meetings are intended just for mothers of multiples. But we do have several events during the year to which our members bring their families, such as holiday parties, a family picnic and a parents night out. A schedule of this year's planned events is available on our calendar in the members section.
